Hello Daniel! I've climbed aboard the organizational committee of a music festival that will be occurring on May 20th from 12 p.m. Friday -11 a.m. Saturday. It will be held at 371 Route 32 on the outskirts of the town of New Paltz, on a beautiful country property. There will be places for your tent, cheap barbeque and rice/beans, marshmallows and songs by camp firelight, and some musicians that I think you might like to know about (Jake Harms with Nelsonvillains, Aaron Maine and Porches, The Wood Burning Stoves- names to look out for). Seems like something you and your gang might enjoy. You can go hiking or come by our place for some community dinner the rest of the weekend. I'll be running the raffle booth. Maybe I'll see you!
